Accessibility statement

We want anyone to be able to search, choose and buy on Vivre: with a keyboard, a screen reader or enlarged text.

Compliance status

The Vivre online shop is compliant with the European standard EN 301 549, which incorporates the WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements, as required by Directive (EU) 2019/882 on the accessibility requirements for products and services.

How the shop is built

  • Pages can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus and a link that skips the menu straight to the content.
  • Windows and panels keep focus inside, close with Esc and return it to where you started.
  • Bestie designs have a text description: the room type, its style and the products in the design.
  • Form fields have labels, and errors are announced and linked to their field.
  • Base text colours have a contrast of at least 4.5:1, and field borders and the focus indicator at least 3:1.
  • Text can be enlarged up to 150% in our settings, or further in your browser, without losing content.
  • Animations stop if your device asks for reduced motion or if you turn them off in the settings.

Accessibility settings

From the Accessibility settings link, in the footer of every page and on your first press of the Tab key, you can enlarge text, underline links, increase spacing, raise contrast and stop animations. Your settings stay saved on your device.

Third-party content

Some services in the shop are provided by other companies, such as the payment pages of payment processors. Their accessibility is the responsibility of those providers. If you run into a problem with them, tell us and we will help you complete your order.

Tell us what isn't working

If something in the shop doesn't work for you, or you need information in another format, write to us. We'll reply and, where possible, offer you an alternative until we fix the problem.
